SALISH SEAWEED FORAGING & FEASTING: APRIL 18 (SAT) --or-- APRIL 19 (SUN) with Jennifer / North Cascade Institute
Hello Seaweed Lovers,
I'll be on the beach with wonderful North Cascade Institute on April 18 (Sat) and April 19 (Sun) foraging for and feasting with sea veggies. There is nothing quite so delicious as Chocolate-Ocean Pudding thickened with seaweed (like chocolate ganache...no kidding!) And the Salish Sea views across the wide water to the Olympic Mountains restore the wild spirit! Come enjoy a high tide of FUN AND COMMUNITY with HANDS-ON SUSTAINABLE FORAGING, SEAWEED ECOLOGY EDUCATION, CULINARY EXPLORING and A SEASIDE SUMPTUOUS 6-COURSE MEAL!
There are still spaces left--AND SCHOLARSHIPS, too! For more details call North Cascade Institute: (360) 854-2599
Cheers, Jennifer

WILD TIDE DINNER & fund-raiser for SEATTLE INDIAN CENTER FEB 18, 2026
Hi friends, I am honored and delighted to invite you back to the table on Wednesday, February 18th for the reconvened WILD TIDE dinner! My partners--Slow Food Seattle, Seattle Culinary Society, Chef Kären Jurgensen, Finnriver Farm & Cidery, and Taylor Shellfish--are THRILLED to offer this delicious evening as a FUND-RAISER for SEATTLE INDIAN CENTER.
For our evening, Chef Kären has planned 13 dishes celebrating coastal flavors from seaweeds and clams, to salmon and fir needles. A smattering of recipes are drawn from my new book, "Pacific Harvest," too!! Students at Seattle Culinary Academy (SCA) will prepare and serve the dishes at SCA's ONE WORLD RESTAURANT. I (Jennifer) will share a lively slide talk exploring the rich interconnection of our coastal ecosystems and cultures, based on 40 years of foraging from California to Alaska.
Plus, enjoy wine and pours from Finnriver Farm & Cidery and a
Raffle for a northwest-themed ceramic bowl from Chris Moench's studio "Axis of Hope," signed books, and yummy gift baskets including Finnriver Farm & Cidery and Lummi Island Seagreens products.
My hands are raised, friends, for your help supporting those in need, during times of changing tides and strong currents. We hope you can come, converse and be nourished by a delicious community event--and we know, if you can't, your are doing good works in other hoods! Together we can "holdfast"! (See the kelp holdfast in photo that grips rocks and holds on during the ebb and flood of ocean tides and currents.)
Ticket price:
$75 for Slow Food Members, Volunteers, and Jennifer's Friends; $85 for non-members.
Jennifer's friends please use promotional code: SFSwildtide26 for the member price.
